Safety Tips

Your safety is our highest priority

Our Safety Promise

Godbless Matrimony employs manual photo review, email/mobile verification, and an active moderation team to keep our platform safe. However, we encourage all members to also follow these personal safety guidelines.

Protect Your Personal Information
  • Never share your Aadhaar number, PAN, bank account or credit card details with anyone on this platform.
  • Do not share your home address before meeting in person and verifying the person's identity.
  • Be cautious about sharing your workplace details early in the conversation.
  • Use our built-in messaging system rather than moving to WhatsApp or phone calls too quickly.
Video Call Before Meeting
  • Always do a video call before agreeing to meet in person. This confirms the person looks like their photos.
  • If someone refuses a video call citing technical issues repeatedly, be suspicious.
  • Use Godbless Matrimony's messaging first — do not switch to external apps until you trust the person.
  • Note: legitimate people never ask you to buy gift cards or transfer money.
Meeting In Person Safely
  • For the first few meetings, always meet in a public place — a café, restaurant or church premises.
  • Inform a family member or friend about where you are going and who you are meeting.
  • Do not allow the other person to pick you up from your home for early meetings.
  • Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it probably is. Leave and contact us.
Red Flags to Watch
  • Claiming to be abroad (military, doctor, engineer on project) and asking for financial help.
  • Refusing video calls, having very few photos, or photos that look professionally modelled.
  • Asking for money, gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency for any reason.
  • Declarations of love or marriage proposals within days of first contact.
  • Inconsistent stories about profession, family, or location.
  • Pressure to take the conversation off-platform immediately.
Report & Block
  • If you suspect a fake profile, use the "Report" button on their profile page immediately.
  • Block and report anyone who is abusive, threatening or inappropriate.
  • Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours and takes strict action.
  • For urgent safety concerns, email safety@godblessmatrimony.net.
